Membership Drive

SWNA is the voice for the Beechcroft, Hickory Trace, and Oaks West neighborhoods. SWNA needs you for committee leaders (Newsletter Distribution, Parks, Schools, Zoning), event coordinators (Sundaes on Sunday Social, Yard Sale, National Night Out, etc), volunteers at events, and participating members.

Membership Cost is only $10.00 per household for the year (September 2010 - September 2011).

Currently we have 21 household members. Join us and meet your neighbors!

Sundaes On Sunday

This annual event will be held on September 26th from 2:00pm - 4:30pm at the park. Ice Cream will be provided by the Southwest Neighborhood Association board! Please bring a topping of your choice to share!

Neighborhood Yard Sale

Many of our neighbors are wanting to see the Community Yard Sale return!! The date that seems to work for the majority of folks interested is October 9th from 7am - 12 Noon. Please contact Colleen Sovich if you are interested in participating and having your house on the map for this event! 336.315.6038

Block Party Social

The input I have received about having a Block Party or Community Social is quite broad. The concensus is that it be held on a Sat in the park beginning after dinner and ending before the noise gets too out of hand. The date that seems to be most convenient for those who have volunteered to assist is October 9th from 7pm - 11pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to pay your dues and meet some of your neighbors. We have folks moving in all the time and may not know any of us. Please bring a dessert to share! So come on out and have a great time at the park!!

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting will be held on November 30th at 7pm. Place to be determined.
