From the President:

I am truly thankful for the opportunity this community and SWNA has given me to serve as your current President. I never could have imagined what a significant impact this neighborhood association could have. Franklin Roosevelt once said,"Never before have we had so little time in which to do so much." I am so proud of the work we have accomplished so far, the conversations we have started, the people we have touched and the lives we have changed.

I throughly enjoy seeing neighbors taking advantage of our streets by walking, jogging, playing soccer, riding bikes, walking dogs and the like. Please take note of any suspicious activities you may encounter while out and about. You are welcome, and encouraged, to call and let me know what you see going on in the neighborhood so I can assist in making it safer for everyone .

Some words to think about from our past president "As a neighborhood it is more important than ever to watch out for each other. One may never know the importance of an encouraging word or that phone call asking if they need anything. You may even know someone who is in transition and maybe paying a bill for them is within your means or if giving them a loaf of bread is more in line. It is only by working and acting together we will see this through as a community."

"Don't know your neighbors? Go outside or up the street and meet them. Who knows, you just might be living next to your new best friend or that person who may know someone that needs someone just like you to work with them or someone that you may need sometime. We are not meant to live by ourselves but as a proud community living in harmony. The blessing we have in this neighborhood is that we have many people from different backgrounds. There are many interesting people just around your corner."

Please know I am here for you as a neighbor and a friend, and would love to hear any and all suggestions to improve the quality of life for all our families. We all want to see our communities grow and be unified. There are approximately 745 homes in our three communities, Hickory Trace, Beechcroft and Oaks West. There is strength in numbers, so lets make great things happen together!!!
